  • We have made history!

    Thu 23 Jul 2020 J Danson

This week, we have erected a sign to commemorate the time capsule that our Year 6s planted during their last week with us. Buried in the capsule are photographs, art work, diary entries and lots of different artefacts to showcase their time at Barton St Peter's in the year: 2020.

In what year will the time capsule be exhumed from the ground do you think? 300 years time, perhaps?

  • Parent Feedback... what do you think about us!

    Fri 17 Jul 2020

The whole BSP family has pulled together and supported one another in ways we didn't think possible 6 months ago. We have been overwhelmed by your support and encouragement and wanted to share some of the comments with you

… I am not sure you're a school, more like a family army.

… For all the BSP superstars for being so awesome during this crazy time. You've all really let your lights shine!

… The teaching support we have had during lockdown has been brilliant, we give huge thanks to everyone involved

… Thank you for giving my child the chance to return to school. She missed you all terribly during lockdown. The emails and video calls were also amazing

...Despite everything that has happened you guys have made this year a success

… Thank you for the support during lockdown. The calls, postcard and google meets were a huge boost

...Thank you for working so hard to bring so many children back. The children have been so pleased to be back

...A huge thankyou for how you have opened up the school, it has made a huge difference to my child

… the amount of care and love my child has received goes above and beyond any expectations

I think the school have been incredibly selfless, supportive and brave.  I have felt safe leaving my child with them throughout the whole lockdown. I feel they deserve a lot more praise than they have had for all the unseen and seen battles they've had to provide the best environment for the children and the parents during such uncertain times

...The unsung heroes who kept some normality for the kids who really needed it

… BSP is a family and you should all be so very proud

… In these uncertain times the presence and contact from the school has been a vital constant in the children's lives

We thank you and look forward to a more normal September :)

  • Letters to the care homes

    Mon 13 Jul 2020 J Danson

Back in March, our lovely Year 6s wrote letters to residents of the local care homes Barton at the start of the lockdown period. Last week, the children wrote back to the residents to see how they were all doing. Today, we received these lovely replies from the residents of The Willows Care Home. The children's letters have been a source of real "joy" for the residents - thank you, Year 6.
