We had the best day celebrating WBD
Everyone came in their comfy clothes ready for story time and hot chocolate and teachers shared stories with different classes.
We completed book plates about our favourite books which will be displayed around school
Finally we had an amazing book swap event
Year 5 and 6 had the best time on our cultural visit to London! We visited museums, the theatre and the London Eye - oh and Pizza Hut 😍😍
Year 5 and 6 have had an amazing residential visit to Whitby! We started out with a trip in the NYM railway steam train and an afternoon at the beach. Day 2 saw us explore the abbey, finding out all about the monks and abbess Hild. More beach time after making our way down the 199 steps! Thursday evening we had great fun with our talent contest - the winner was Noah with his 49 second rubic cube! On Friday we headed home via a trip to Dalby Forest - phew what a few days!
We had a wonderful day on Friday 5th May celebrating the coronation of King Charles III
We had a lovely afternoon tea and completed lots of wonderful art work , some of which you can see in local shops

Today we were fortunate enough to be featured in Radio Humberside Smiles for Schools. Breakfast Club had some very special visitors - James Piekos and Lion Learners. We were live on the Breakfast Show at 8 am with a corn snake, skink, bearded dragon and various bugs.
Our lovely choir have had a great morning entertaining at the Living Later Life Well community group today. They sang lots of festive favourites

We have had a wonderful Christmas dinner day. Thank you to Stuart and his team for amazing food and all the lunch staff for organising us!
Year 5 and 6 had a great time today competing in an inter house tag rugby competition

We are very excited to tell you that Jennifer and Esme have won the Barton Christmas Lights competition and will be switching on the lights with the mayor on 26th!! Well done girls!!
